Actually I wanted to publish part three much earlier, sorry, but I have been quite busy recent week with work and some events to smoke with friends. This post will be a longer one.
Thursday , the 23rd April was the official registration day starting from 10:30 o clock at LCDH. As I did already my registration I decided to sleep out and woke up around 10:30 o clock. Took a shower and put my stuff together in the new AmiCigar back pack and went having my usual breakfast nearby my apartment. Arrived more or less at a quarter past 11:00 o clock at LCDH I went directly to the lunge at first floor where a lot of people were already talking and smoking. There I met Alexander Groom who publishs the website www.cubancigarwebsite.com. I was happy to meet him personally as I have communicated so far with him twice by email. I shared one of my favorite Habanos Robaina Don Alejandro, aged 23 years, with him. I wanted to have his opinion of that cigar if it was still ok after that long time. He gave me a thumps up which made my face smile. He also gave me one of his cigars which I smoked some days later. After four hours when I finished my Robaina I went to the third floor of LCDH were I made more new acquaintances. I met Rosella from Italy and some people from Rumania friends of my friend Marian, several times Italian champion of the Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC). Marian became my friend on my participation on the finals of that World Championship 2023 in Split Croatia. That is also were I met first Gino and Fernando. Later I gave Marian also a Don Alejandro. Then there was Gino and Naka, whom I got to know as well on one of the finals in of CSWC in Croatia. At around 16:00 o clock I left LCDH for the dinner event at 19:30 to change clothes and have short nap.

Our dinner was at the Shiri Restaurant in a tower building at level 23. At this level we had a great view to Ho Chi Minh City. Arriving on the 23 level we needed to show our AmiCigar passport to receive the first cigar of the evening. We received a Juan Lopez, Seleccion No. 2, with a special band of Cuba -Vietnam. Later the evening we received Punch Super Selection No. 1. We also received name stand which we had to put on one of the seats each one chooses to have their Dinner place. I looked out for a table with people I have not spoken yet as we were over 100 people from 25 countries. After everyone did their small talk and having drinks it was time for everybody to take seat as the meals were delivered to the people. Food was delicious. We had a four way menu. After one of the ways Gino was holding up a small speech and a tombola for AmiCigar shirts that were left over. We could change them next day at LCDH if the size was not right. I was lucky and won another white shirt size L which was a bit bigger. I changed next day for a blue one, same size :-). Once all ways have been served people stayed and continuously smoked and taking group pictures, having fun etc. Well you all know how it goes. The later the evening arrived the diminishing started slowly as the next day the first event would start early at 11:00 o clock. More about this in the part 4.In the next days I will start with part 4.
Stay tuned. Thorsten
